CSC had illegally sold these promo credit reports and inquiries without a permissible purpose come with $1,000 in statutory damages.

I've never had a situation where somebody opted out and the CRA continued to run the credit and sell the reports.

To date, CSC hasn't explained WHY they didn't honor the opt out request.
