As per your request I am sending the written dispute. My client cancelled the contract according to the terms upon moving and paid the $50 required for proper cancellation.
You mentioned that the account was charged off on 3/31/95. The reporting of this account for over 7 years after the charge-off is a violation of the FCRA, and I highly recommend that your management review the FCRA and the FTC's credit reporting instructions at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/infopro.htm - item 6.
My client was declined for his mortgage and I'll greatly appreciate a copy of your deletion notice to Trans Union faxed to 571-222-1000, so that my client can get approved for his refinance.
