Several recordings of collection calls and a great primer on the FDCPA including a link to a sample small claims complaint.

Please be aware that small claims rules vary by state and judge and that many small claims courts will NOT award the statutory damages. Be especially careful with small claims if you have no right to appeal.

Also want to add here that the best suits are the combo FDCPA/FCRA violations because you are apparently limited to the $1,000 per case and legal fees for FDCPA violations.

I learned to ALWAYS dispute collections with the bureaus so that you can add the FCRA violations and possibly even add the CRA as defendant.
