TrueCredit Helps Consumers Prepare for Life's Hurdles

Launching Television Advertising Campaign
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 28, 2003--As part of an aggressive growth strategy, TrueCredit -- a leading provider of consumer credit management services -- is teaming with Chicago-based agency TargetCom to develop its first television advertising campaign. Testing nationally this summer, the campaign will promote TrueCredit's signature 3-in-1 Credit Report and the theme "Manage your credit. Manage your life."
Directed by Jeth Weinrich -- well known for his advertisements as well as music videos -- the commercials depict a blindfolded runner stumbling over hurdles and then removing the blindfold as a metaphor for the importance of checking one's credit before major purchases. TrueCredit's information-based credit products and services are designed to empower consumers to understand their credit worthiness and to use that knowledge to balance debts, lower interest rates and guard against identity theft. TrueCredit is the consumer credit information Web site for TrueLink.
"Consumer interest in credit issues has surged to the level where there is a broad market for these services. People are clamoring to learn about their credit," said Jan L. The campaign was filmed in Vancouver by Radke Films, a Canadian production company with over 11 years of experience in the television advertising industry. The commercials are being scored by award-winning composer, Mike Pendowski. Callie Coburn is the producer and Tim Claffey created the spots and is heading the TargetCom team.
