"The court recuses itself under Canon 3(C)(1)(c), Code of Conduct for United States Judges, and transfers this action to the clerk of the court fo reassignment.

DATED this 17th day of July, 2003.

Frederick J. Martone"

I have no idea what that code of conduct is, and I got a new Judge:

Robert C. Broomfield

this is why the judge recused himself: Code of Conduct. Cannon 3 (C)(1)(c)

C. Disqualification.

(1) A judge should disqualify himself in a proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned, including but not limited to instances where:

(a) he has a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party, or personal knowledge of disputed evidentiary facts concerning the proceeding;
(b) he served as lawyer in the matter in controversy, or a lawyer with whom he previously practiced law served during such association as a lawyer concerning the matter, or the judge or such lawyer has been a material witness concerning it;{c}he knows that he, individually or as a fiduciary, or his spouse or minor child residing in his household, has a financial interest in the subject matter in controversy or in a party to the proceeding, or any other interest that could be substantially affected by the outcome of the proceeding;

Thanks much! I thought it was something like that, and that maybe he owned stock in one of the defendants' companies, maybe he had a credit problem himself at some time or he looked at his credit now and got his credit scores and didn't like what he saw.

But I was surprised that it took so long for him to make that decision.

And I really wished I knew how long Judge Broomfield will take to rule on the Household Motion.
